What is Paintwork Ceramic Coating ?

 

A paintwork ceramic coating is a long-term protective layer applied to your vehicle’s clear coat to enhance gloss while protecting against UV damage, environmental contamination, and everyday wear. When applied correctly, it creates a durable, hydrophobic surface that makes washing easier, helps keep the paint cleaner for longer, and preserves the overall condition and appearance of your vehicle.

Our Process

​

Proper preparation is the most important part of any ceramic coating. Without it, even the best products won’t perform as intended.​ Correct surface preparation ensures all previous protection, embedded contamination, oxidation, and paint defects are fully removed, allowing the ceramic coating to bond directly to the paintwork.

 

 Each step in the process is designed to cleanse, refine, and stabilise the surface before coating application. This results in improved durability, enhanced gloss, consistent performance, and long-term protection that simply isn’t achievable without proper preparation.

 

The general process involves:

• Pre-wash to safely remove loose dirt and surface grime

• Shampoo wash using a stripping shampoo to break down and remove existing waxes, sealants, and coatings

• Dedicated contact wash to further assist in removing residual protection and contaminants

• Chemical decontamination using tar and iron removers to dissolve bonded fallout

• Mechanical decontamination via clay bar treatment to fully cleanse the paint surface

• Detailed paint assessment to evaluate paint condition and correction requirements

• Machine paint correction to remove oxidation, swirl marks, scratches, and marring while refining the finish

• IPA wipe-down to remove polishing oils and ensure a residue-free surface

• Controlled ceramic coating application panel by panel

• Optional top coats applied where required to enhance durability and performance
