Our Process

​

Proper preparation is just as important for wheels as it is for paintwork. Wheels & brake calipers are exposed to extreme conditions, including heat, brake dust, road salt, and heavy contamination. Correct preparation ensures these contaminants are fully removed, allowing the ceramic coating to bond correctly and perform as intended.

Each step in the process is designed to thoroughly cleanse, decontaminate, and refine the wheel surface before coating application. This results in improved durability, enhanced resistance to brake dust, easier maintenance, and long-term protection that isn’t achievable without proper preparation.

 

The general process involves:

• Where necessary, wheels removed from vehicle for full access

• Pre-wash to safely remove loose dirt and surface grime

• Snow foam application to soften and lift heavy contamination

• Contact wash to further cleanse the wheel faces and barrels

• Iron and brake dust removal to dissolve embedded contaminants

• Clay bar treatment where required to remove bonded residue

• Complete wheel decontamination to prepare the surface

• Detailed assessment of wheel condition and finish

• Machine polishing where necessary to refine the surface and remove defects

• Controlled ceramic coating application to protect the wheels & brake calipers and enhance ease of maintenance​
